About Yvette RoubideauxDr. Yvette Roubideaux is an Assistant Professor in the College of Medicine at The University of Arizona. Her work includes teaching and research on Indian health issues, with a focus on diabetes in American Indians/Alaska Natives and Indian health policy. She is the Co-Director of the Coordinating Center for the Special Diabetes Program for Indians Competitive Demonstration Projects, in which 66 sites are implementing diabetes prevention and cardiovascular disease prevention activities in American Indian and Alaska Native communities. She is also faculty for the Native Investigator Program in the University of Colorado Native Elder Research Center/Resource Center for Minority Aging Research (RCMAR). Dr. Roubideaux previously worked in the Indian Health Service as a Medical Officer and Clinical Director on the San Carlos Indian Reservation and in the Gila River Indian Community.
